Whatever you think this movie is going to be like, it's not. I'm gonna tell you right now, every twist you think this film will make... it doesn't. The best thing you could do is just go and blind, that's what I did because I like almost all of Samara Weaving's movies (well, her quirky horrors for sure).
Every time I thought this movie was gonna turn right it turns left. It has a style of its own, and that is definitely seen in the bits of dark comedy. It seems like a lot of other people did not like this movie for the exact reason that I did like it, it isn't a normal movie. This is just an enjoyable ride. You put it on you laugh it's fun, and along the way it has a great soundtrack. In fact the last song that closes out the movie was incredible.
Also, Ray Nicholson is really good in this role, and it wasn't until the movie ended that I read his name, and realized he's Jack Nicholson's son. So just go watch it.

New title:
"It follows the Insidious Babadookie" get it?
How does a movie with this budget, a movie with this level of graphics, set design, how do they go ahead and make a movie with such awful actors? I mean everyone's performance is mailed in, maybe this was a rush job, maybe the editor use the B-roll or D-roll instead of the A-roll, but wow
This is the one thing I wanna know how are these actors getting these roles. I could ask circles around every single one of these people, so how are filmmakers OK with using such subpar talent? I mean whoever wanted to make this movie must be disappointed because it'll never do well. Maybe this is the result of nepotism, some young filmmaker wanted to make this movie and they said OK if you use these actors who are having trouble getting parts. Well now we know why they had trouble getting parts.

This would make a great play, but It needs to be said that I would've probably rated this movie a 7 or an 8 as it had a very enjoyable pace, and it sucked me in from the beginning. But it was the ending that changed everything. It's not necessarily that the ending is bad or not as I expected, but it just doesn't match tone of the film.
The whole movie felt rather quick, and that's because I was interested. But the last five minutes felt longer than the entire movie. I was literally waving my hands saying "come on let's wrap it up". And that's tough, because it dropped my score down to a 6. I will say that I figured the solution out before everyone in the room, and only you can admit that to yourself.
