Simply one of their best episodes. Rashida Jones is amazing, but Chris O'Dowd is simply incredible. I've never seen him give a stronger performance. Tracee Ellis Ross gives a HILARIOUS performance. Just have to go in blind on this one and take my word for it. Sometimes Black Mirror can get a little too grotesque or uncomfortable or squeamish. This has a little bit of that, but not too much of it. But the originality in this episode is top tier and has a really relatable narrative device if you're sick of all the streaming services you have to pay for. Truly the one of my favorites and now am looking forward to the rest of the season. Not sure if this gets topped.
THIS is what you want in a pilot. Non stop intrigue. Grippingly engaging. Twists up until the very last second. Truly this show was excellent and EVERYONE should give it a try. From the writer of This Is Us, but it's entirely different from This Is Us and feels really original. Sterlings acting is top notch (as to be expected), and they didn't come to play with the supporting cast either.
You'll recognize James Marsden from X-MEN, Dead To Me, The Notebook, etc. And he's SO good in this. This episode alone made me feel like this may be my favorite role of his.
Don't read ANYTHING. Just go in blind and get ready to enjoy yourself. I have a feeling this one is going to be one to remember.
