Clashing with ps1 was maybe the biggest mistake the creators of vv could have committed, considering how vv is a remake of a tamil movie and the audacity of trh creators to release it alongside the biggest historical tamil project? Coming to the movie, it's your turn of the day massy action masala movie...it lacks the depth which the original one had, it tries to compensate for the lack of depth with over the top action scenes, not sure if the audience really appreciates such a compensation. The supporting cast do their part pretty well, the lead actors look cool flying and jumping around. A pretty average movie through and through.

It was rather obvious from the promotions and trailers that this movie didn't have a lot going for it other than the lead actor and it's clash with Ponniyin Selvan. The writing in this movie is very feeble, some moments come out of nowhere and are downright jarring, in a bad way obviously. The first half was alright but the movie takes nosedive into the Mariana trench as we enter the 2nd half. Even dhanush cannot save this movies with his acting chops. Don't waste your time on it, watch it if you are a dhanush fan or if you are fond of movies with poor screenplay. I am surprised by the number of 10 stars it has, don't fall for it.
