When I was in elementary school I was bullied so badly, and I've never seen anything even come close to depicting how I felt. This, however, was an absolutely perfect depiction. It felt like there was literally nothing I could do, no matter who I talked to, what I said, or what I tried, the bullying would never stop. I never attempted suicide or tried to leave school, but that's because the idea was so unknown to me that it never crossed my mind, and I shudder to think what may have happened if it had.
This is a part of my life I try not to think about, ever, but watching Takopi help the girl through all the bullying, and be there for her, and have the solution to every problem, it makes it feel like Takopi is there for my younger self. This show is serving to heal my trauma and give me a version of my childhood in which I'm able to overcome the bully and I get to have a happy elementary school experience.
Furthermore, I was also in 4th grade in 2016! This show truly feels like it was made for me, it feels so deeply personal and important and I love it more than anything I've ever seen or read, I can only hope it continues to be this good.

I'm nearly at a loss for words, let me start by saying I've never wrote a review before and this is my first time ever watching an anime, I'm normally not that much of an anime fan, but Demon Slayer completely blew me away
Ok, first off, there is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this show, the animation is top notch, the characters are relatable and flawed, except for Tanjiro who is instead faced with external conflicts and tested throughout the show, side characters have extremely interesting arcs that will keep you watching even though the "filler" episodes
There's also big twists and you get really caught up in the storyline, what makes this story different from most is the amazing heartfelt moments, I for one almost cried at the end of the third episode
Anyway what I'm saying is don't listen to the one star reviews, they are most likely from people who didn't make it to the end of the show, if you haven't seen DS yet, watch it as soon as you get the chance, you have nothing to lose.
