We had high hopes for the show when we read what it was trying to do. Most of the show was ok, but the dialog and what some of the hosts were saying was at time annoying. Here they are talking about these unsolved crimes or event and they are acting like a bunch if teen age boys, sometimes making jokes of the content. I have no idea why they felt the urge to type their dialog on the screen like that. I have no idea how it gets an 8+ rating unless it was people from the show. The show takes 22 minutes they could have edited it down , taken out the levity and the show would be a winner in my eyes.

I really like this film and is one of my favorites from the 80's Part of the appeal was I was at the age they were in the film so I could really relate. In one sense I connected with each of the characters at different parts of the movie. I think it really did a good job showing the conflicts, tension and the hope and growth that occurs when transitioning to adult world. I question some of the reviews on here that claim this movies was so bad. I just don't see it. The movies moves through each of their journey and in the end shows them moving on with their individual lives and how all their relationships impacted each other for the good and the bad.

We finally stopped watching the show mid way through the 6th season. In the beginning the shows was funny and kind of unique but as the show progressed most of the cast just became caricatures to the point where the joked they were going for were just overplaying that. I mean at the point where we dropped they didn't even solve cases anymore. The entire show became about the each characters personal life which to be honest was not that interesting. Most of the time, the punch line were just a member of the cast delivering a catch phase that had become tired and bored. But this seems to happen to most shows. It is hard to maintain a standard and not become stale which this show did.
