I am not trying to be negative or someone who feels i know lot about movies... But this movie is absolutely unable to understand why it is so emotional.. Rajesh sir made Ventilator which has humor and emotion well balanced but when you watch April May 99 you really see more emotional scenes and less of what more could have seen in vacations. The boys sing the song and it really feels filmy... The acting is very average... Jai character is shown too much matured.. The movie starts with learning English, then goes to fight, then they start talking, then her PERIOD comes, then they remember their grandma and mom.. Then she goes... We do not see any memories... I really get amazes that such good director will make such average movie with such good topic about vacation...

I am huge Paresh Mokashi film but this is the worst film he has made. Film has really bad acting except Namrata.

Mukta barve is highly overrated... I just wished they could have made movie with more intent and gave the real struggle of both maid and middle class working lady.

Hopefully he will make better movies... Elizabeth Ekadashi was one with great emotions and good intent..... Even Chi va Chi sau ka was loud in parts but the characters were very unpredictable and it was fun...

After making Vaalvi... Making this movie, though the storyline are different, but making this half cooked movie was bad.

First of all, the movie is must watch specially for all Maharashtrians. We get to know how great Shahir was and his immense contribution to the nation. However Ankush doesn't look like Shahir and when u see him u don't feel like watching Shahir but Ankush himself. Though he tried best still someone similarly looking like Shahir would have been better. Sana surely not a actor and big role is wasted. Music is great and Ajay Atul deserves lot of credit for making this movie worth a watch. Kedar Shinde could have showed more of Shahirs work for independence and Samyukta Maharashtra Chalwal but unnecessary time is given to small shahir grandmother played by Nirmiti Sawant and mother who has negative shades throughout the movie.
