The Supernatural TV series loved to bring in other hunters to various episodes. The other hunters were often rednecks or hillbillies who had bad skills compared to Sam and Dean.
Kevin Bacon as a total rednecky hunter who just makes it up as he goes along was pretty entertaining. Unfortunately, his supporting cast was lame.
Unlike Sam and Dean who usually had good guest stars on their show, Bondsman just had unknown actors and third-stringers as their cast. That did not help the low-budget style of this series. The CGI on this show made Supernatural look great. I actually appreciate Supernatural a lot more thanks to watching the eight episodes of Bondsman.
The horrible finale, where Lilith gets over on Kevin Bacon and he lets the world down, was bad. The series was canceled. Even though it was not officially related to Supernatural, it really feels like hillbilly hunter DJ Qualls should have been on this show, along with Castiel making a cameo.

Jason Watkins plays Dodds, and in last season's episode he was being accused of murder, and had a non-stop emotional breakdown. Now this episode, the murder victim is a childhood friend, and Dodds is once again a cry-baby basket case.
Really ponderous and annoying to watch a so-called professional detective having emotional fits. I could be watching Lifetime Channel if I wanted to see an infomercial for TOM pads. Maybe he is having a breakdown in the real world and they are customizing the screenplays to fit his fragile psyche? Maybe they need a new Dodds?
Add to that the cynical and sarcastic attitude of Tala Gouveia, and this show is hard to watch. Apparently her only facial expression is between a sneer and a smirk?
The story of the search for the map of the crossroads where Robert Johnson sold his soul to the devil is interesting enough. Unfortunately the story has a pretty lame conclusion. Apparently a college student was disappointed over his grade in his Blues class, and decided to spend millions of dollars to get even with his teacher. He also manages to kill a couple of people. Happens all the time (NOT).
