The way Little Fish builds up to its conclusion is painfully considered, what some might call a "slow burn", and heartbreaking in its delievery.
I think what this movie does well is paint a picture of the little moments that make up a relationship and how, even as the structure of that partnership collapses, as the inescapable tragedies of their world pile up, we the audience get to appreciate the sweetness of this couple's love and the life they built together.

ADULTS is an easygoing comedy that plays charitably with Gen Z tropes without having to resort to generational barb slinging. It's full of cute and genuine moments but never forgets that it's a comedy at heart with a youthful sort of optimism that lingers throughout each episode. There's plenty of laughs and a nice assortment of personalities to enjoy (what a great cast).
There's also only 8 episodes out for this first drop, and for me, well, it was over too soon (a rewatch is in my future). So, in conclusion, I definitely wouldn't complain if it got a second season, and I really hope it does.

I started off on board, ready to see what interesting ways the series would go about subverting the whole "virus kills off people with certain chromosomes" trope and how that impacts society, but unfortunately I felt like the show fumbles with executing what could have been an interesting new take. Between the wild tonal shifts between the first half of the series and the last and the almost slap stick way the series chooses to deal with sexual coercion and assault, I lost the thread with this one. There are a smattering of compelling choices, but taken all together, this show was a bit of a mess for me.
