I cried this entire episode. Scene after beautiful scene, so emotional and cathartic. So much closure. To journey with June through the processing of her emotions, every encounter with every person and place... past, present, and future. It's so incredibly touching and moving. The way June's character processes her emotions and events in life is always so full of beauty, wisdom, and intelligence. It is central to the show and what makes it great. And no other actress could do June's character more justice than Elisabeth Moss. She can communicate a thousand words with one look. Elisabeth deserves all the flowers in the world, particularly in this episode. And in addition, such moving, powerfully emotional performances by every character in this episode, especially Serena, June's mother, and June's other handmaid friends. The expression shown through each character's eyes was phenomenal, along with the way they spoke. There was a gentleness in each interaction. This episode felt different. Each character just seemed... different. And it was because of peace. This episode was about finding peace. Peace in the present, peace for the future, and making peace with the past. Finally, a sense of calm and relief, as survivors walked away alive with what matters most in life... friends, family, and most of all, children. This was the ultimate theme of the episode... what it means to be a parent, especially a mother, and how that love can move mountains. How this love motivates a parent to do anything for their child's best interest. It's what matters most to the women in this story. The children. Everything they do is for the children. Fighting for their future. And a shoutout to Luke for being the male character who fully embodies this as well.
Cannot wait for The Testaments! This episode left the Hannah plot line perfectly ready for the transition. I'm curious how it will all be done, but I'm sure it will be amazing. I'm so glad it's not over. And I'm thrilled that Elisabeth Moss is an executive producer. She has proven how phenomenal she is at it with these episodes. The Testaments has the potential to be just as good as HMT and I am here for it!

This episode had me sobbing!!! Incredibly gut wrenching! It hit me in ALL the feels. So deeply touching and emotional, especially for all the invested fans who have followed the show over the years. It left me with so many mixed emotions. Mainly excruciating sadness coupled with some satisfaction from closure, because the end actually made sense, in the most tragic way. A full circle. What goes around comes around. But the permanent implications of it are so, so sad. It's devastating that things had to be this way. Years worth of plotlines and character development culminated in the gravity of a single scene. It was emotionally overwhelming. Tragic, but poetically just. Beautiful storytelling! And some AMAZING cinematography.
Elizabeth Moss is a MASTER at communicating emotion through facial expressions. I knew exactly what she was feeling, not only in the most tragic scene, but in every scene. She had some awesome monologues in this episode that included beautiful messages of freedom, justice, hope, and love. This episode also had plenty of suspense and multiple twists. But again... that ending!!! Oof!

This episode is classic Handmaid's Tale. It's one of the best, if not THE best, of this season so far. Edge of your seat drama and multiple important events and many twists. This is a very important episode with a lot of plot advancement. The writing was amazing and, as always, the acting was top notch. Talk about a cliffhanger! It's one of those that leaves you wanting more and impatient that you have to wait a whole week to learn what happens next. It covers all the bases. Every scene is captivating and important. If you haven't watched it yet, you're in for a treat. Like I said, this episode is CLASSIC Handmaid's Tale, harkening back to the best episodes in earlier seasons. For some reason the lighting was too dark in this episode, which was mildly annoying. But overall, it wasn't too much of an issue because, in this particular episode, the awesome plot and dialogue between characters was more important than the visuals. The plot, dialogue, and characters really spoke for themselves and carried the episode. You didn't need a lot of visuals to know exactly what was happening at any given moment. I'm LOVING this plot line. Definitely a 10/10 and can't wait until next week!
