I remember being 8 years old and sitting down to watch the 1978 Superman. I was entranced by how grand the film was, and Superman became one of my favorite DC characters all of all time. Since then, the Superman films that have come out have been alright, but none have entranced me more so than the 1978 film. However, and having no expectations, the 2025 Superman brought back a great amount of memories and nostalgia. It genuinely managed to captivate my attention immediately and kept it until the very end, which most movies struggle to do of late. The 2025 film manages to ground Clark Kent/ Superman and gives us more depth to his character, more so than any other film has ever done. I loved what they did with Lois Lane and her character, and the dynamic between her and Clark Kent/ Superman was electric. This wasn't just another superhero film but rather a film about a superhero. It's genuinely that simple.

With a string of failures after avengers endgame, I personally did not think that marvel would ever make it back to the top, yes there were one of two films that I enjoyed but the rest were lackluster. Heading into thunderbolts, I had no expectations, but this is genuinely what cinema and more so marvel is about. The film has the amazing Florence Pugh at its helm and she does an incredible job with her character, if she doesn't get nominated for any award I'll riot. She managed to portray what grief, depression and anger can look like even long after the passing of someone close to you. The ensemble of cast members around her were also nothing short of amazing. Marvel managed to tell a story, portray what most people experience in their life but do it through the eyes of 'heroes' and did not miss a single beat. I cannot wait for the sequel!!!

Having played the titular game, I came into this expecting it to be similar to the game; however, it was completely different. This was a standalone horror that drew inspiration from the game, and boy was it amazing to watch! The film did not disappoint! There was no resting once the film got into its groove; it was filled with some of the best jump scares in recent memory, moments of subtle creepiness that seeped into one's skin and left you with goosebumps and fear. There wasn't a dull moment in the film; the actors did a fantastic job, and I hope said actors make it far within the industry! I genuinely could not take my eyes off the screen because of how good the film was; the same can be said for everyone in the cinema.
