I tend to rate movies high because it's rare I really enjoy watching a movie. I really liked this movie! Lee Marvin was marvelous in this movie - like he always is. It was an interesting movie to me because of the subject matter being hopping trains. My grandfather hopped trains back in the day, and he lost his leg when he missed and the train rolled over his leg. I can recommend this movie.

This is a remake of It Happened One Night, which you have probably already read. It's verbatim word for word of the original script - just updated. I watched the original yesterday with Myrna Loy and Clark Gable. Some movies should never be remade, and this is one of them. You can't improve on the original. Since I saw the original yesterday, I remember the script. This movie might be just okay if I hadn't seen the original yesterday, but I believe The June Allyson was much too old for the part, and Jack Lemmon wasn't masculine enough like Clark Gable was.

I could barely get through this movie - I almost turned it off. I decided to watch it all the way through, though. Peter Dinklage was miscast in my opinion. Shirley MacLaine was okay - just okay. It was a different story that I've never heard before - I won't say what the story was because I don't want any spoilers.
