He's like if Superman were is own kryptonite. At the end of the last season we got a glimpse of his distasteful, unbelievably juvenile, and lazy ethical system. Here he's just whiny, unreasonable, and reactive. His rationale behind being this way is anything but rational, and this isn't unknown to the writers who have Cecil make some of the obvious objections. He seems to have a vague notion of objective morality whilst having the prescriptions completely undefined. It's just a way to behave entirely emotionally with no rational thought and then post-hoc justify the actions. It's infuriating and unbearable to watch. Despite very much enjoying the first two seasons, I don't feel like continuing the series any further if this is how he's going to be. Without defined ethics, Mark is no more than a lame, wannabe hero and a terrible protagonist. Cringe is what this character makes me feel.
