Let me make one thing clear right from the start - this movie deserves a solid 10/10 experience in a good 3D theater. Unfortunately, I watched it on Saturday afternoon (12 July 2025) in a mid-range theater for Rs200, and in terms of screen and sound quality, I was a bit disappointed. So my advice? Watch it in a high-quality theater - if possible, go for IMAX or Dolby - because this one's built for the big screen.
Story & Comic Vibe: Now talking about the story - I'm not a comic book geek, but from what fans have been saying, this version is quite close to the comic roots. The plot isn't exactly heavy or complex - nothing brutal like Iron Man's emotional arc or Batman's dark vengeance journey. Honestly, it felt like a basic superhero setup, but it still works.
Classic Superman Vibes: One thing I truly appreciated - they brought back the iconic red underwear and original Superman logo, which was removed in Man of Steel. And yes - without that, it just didn't feel like Superman. While Man of Steel gave us a macho, mature, intense Superman, the 2025 version feels more like a young 'Super-Boy'.
Direction & Cast: James Gunn's signature directing style shines through several scenes - especially one where Superman saves a squirrel instead of the usual "saving humans from falling buildings" scenes. That moment was gold - something fresh and heartfelt.
As for David Corenswet, I'll admit - he gave it his all. Even with all the controversy around replacing Henry Cavill, and as someone who also preferred Henry (still do), I think David did a good job fitting into the character's shoes. Everyone in the cast delivered well. That said, I still imagine Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern in my head - can't help it.
Visuals & Action: You can feel James Gunn's flavor in the action scenes and clean VFX - and this is exactly why it deserves to be experienced on a large, crisp screen. If I had watched it in a better theater, I'm sure my enjoyment would've multiplied 10x.
Final Thoughts: All said and done - go watch it in theaters, and don't compromise on quality. Even if 3D isn't available, watch it in 2D but in a good screen. The story might not hit the same if you're a longtime DC fan or someone like me - a 26-year-old who's grown up watching all Superman movies. In that case, the visuals are your biggest entertainer.
Overall, it's a fun and slightly childish film. Kids will definitely enjoy it. I personally wanted to give it a 10, but from my grown-up perspective, I'd say it deserves a 7 or 8.

You've probably seen tons of memes, clips, and images from this movie floating around the internet. I finally watched it yesterday (6th July 2025). The movie does feel a bit lengthy at times, but it knows how to keep your attention hooked.
Let me say this upfront - this is absolutely not a family movie. Saying there's nudity would be an understatement - it's filled with intimate scenes, and at some points, it genuinely felt like I'd opened a PH site. On top of that, there's drugs, alcohol, and all sorts of wild stuff, so keep kids far away from this one.
The film is based on a true story - the real-life journey of Jordan Belfort, a stockbroker who built a fraudulent empire.
No spoilers here, but just know that everyone's acting is phenomenal, the presentation style is slick, and the visuals are really well-crafted. It's the story of how one man gets everything - and eventually loses it all.
You'll have to watch the movie to experience that wild ride for yourself.
Overall, I'll give this movie a solid 8 out of 10.

Honestly, I have no idea when I actually watched this movie - maybe somewhere between 2004 and 2016. And yes, this is an animated movie that anyone can watch, especially if you're a parent - you can watch it with your kids, and I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy it too.
(Cars, Toy Story, Madagascar, Ice Age - these are some of those movies that people of all ages can enjoy.) So please, don't judge a movie just because it's a cartoon.
Today I found out that this movie actually won an Oscar, which I didn't know before. Back then, I really enjoyed both the story and the humor.
It's about a superhero family who have given up their superhero life - and the movie tells the story of why they quit and how they return to being superheroes.
You'll have to watch it to know more - I won't spoil anything.
All I'll say is that if I ever get a chance in the future, I'll definitely watch this movie again with my own kids, and enjoy it once more.
For me, this movie deserves a perfect 10 out of 10.
