I have no idea how this film was so critically lambasted. I watched it countless times while growing up, and always loved it. When I went to look up its reception, I saw it had 25% on Rotten Tomatoes. I thought, well, maybe I'm looking at it with the rose colored glasses of youth, so I rewatched it as an adult today, and it not only holds up, but is better than I remember. This is a perfect movie in the mood it evokes. It's manages to elicit in you the same feelings the main character has upon spending time in his winery in france. You just want to stay there forever, like he does. Is this mvoie complex, or groundbreaking? No. It's chaming, easy, funny. The cast is pitch perfect, headlined by the always splendid Russel Crowe. And who wouldn't fall in love with Marion Cotillard here? For two hours you get to escape and experience the happiness and joy of life's best pleasures. I have no idea how someone could give this a negative review.

This series continues to delight week after week. If you call yourself a Star Trek fan and don't find episodes like these fantastic, maybe you gotta rethink what is it that you like about it. Is it the nostalgia of watching it in your youth, or is it the feeling you had that you were smarter than your peers because you watched the 'heady' sci-fi series of the time. Because this is straight up classic Trek. A submarine battle in space. Problem solving trough logic and science. Danger, tension and terror evercome trough teamwork, debate and creativity.
