The only reason I would give this episode a 9/10 is Pugsley. In the cartoon Addams family he was so happy being tortured, doing stuff and here he is just a useless buffoon feeling sorry for himself. It would have paid so much homage him being like: "come on turn the machine on" or can we start already?
Sadly the writers hinted at it by requesting two torture options happily for lying. He is so much out of character.
Season gets a solid 9 though. Bonus points for the Enid actress switching 180 degrees for one episode.

Shows people's deviance and machine's learning capabilities well. Jack Quaid is doing a great job in the movie, showing his geeky nature against a more darker, sinister side with good aplomb. The rest of the cast is relatively unforgettable, with minimal ideas and *the message*, because it has to exist and have DEI. The movie shines in its adaptability, with the female protagonist doing a great job acting naive, Yale-level smart and then back to dumb as bricks but still retaining the level of anxiety in whether what you see on the screen is really what is happening in the movie.
As such, it is a solid 7, really decent movie.
