It really pains me to admit that doctor who has lost its charm in these later seasons and this episode especially was terrible. Every single character was so underdeveloped I genuinely could not care less about any of them, also everything they did was sooooo predictable. I miss when this show made me connect and actually care about what happens to one off characters, now I cant even say that I care about the actual companions. As most of the time they add nothing and don't feel like their own characters, just extensions of the doctor, who follow her about.

Possibly my favourite quote from the series so far 'You got baking soda' 'Yeah in the fridge' IN THE FRIDGE, I KNOW YOURE BLIND BUT IN THE FRIDGE. Have some common sense.

Everything this copies from the BBC sitcom (and it copies a lot) it does worse and everything original they do rarely hits the mark. 95 percent of this episode is copied from the original, and I don't blame them, its a pilot, however when you attempt to do traditionally British dry sarcastic humour with only Americans (and not to mention the counterparts to the original characters are much more lively and expressive) it never comes out as funny as the original.

With that said I don't think this show has a complete lack of potential, there's definitely something there, they just have to make it their own and stray away from copying the original too much.
