Really good only that seems too much a copy of the old classic 12 angry man. Clint should know better than to revisit a classic like that.good cast and good time management. But again you start running comparisons and Vlint has not even bother to refresh the prejudices of some member of the juror with modern themes. It is a good movie and it is well interpreted, but again not original at all. It has the additional content of the side investigation but still I feel like many more twists could have been added to cath up with modern times. All that said, if this is Clint Eastwood's last movie, he has definitely closed it much better than with cry macho.
I loved this movie... nothing too fancy, but the photography, the script and the actors make it amazing. Taylor Sheridan is a gold mine. Everything he does is just perfect. The film is so meticulously made. From the first photogram to the last... The mountain scenes are incredible and some of the scenes at the end are also so moving.... Simply quality cinema. Elizabeth is great in her role and so is Jeremy, not to mention Graham and Gil. All superb. I don't understand though how Jon Bernthal got such a small part. He is also amazing in every role he plays. Just one thing: I was not born there and don't live there, but I went to High School in Wyoming, I played against the Wind River's cougars :-) All this drama around Wyoming and Montana with series like Yellowstone, 1923 and movies like this one...are a little bit too much. I know it is just movies and tv series, but I would encourage Taylor to also depict Wyoming and Montana with another angle. Never felt in danger in the Shoshone reservation nor in Wind River, never felt like the state was all ruins, drama and marginalized people... Again, I know it is just a movie but it is now a few ones showing a picture that is probably giving people the wrong impression. You can't cause a wrong impression about NY because it is an 8 million people city. So showing a few gagsters in NY is fine because it gets diluted. When you make 10 movies all showing marginalized people in a 500K people state, it is a little bit different :-) My 2 cents.
I can watch the same episode like 20 times and still laugh to death. The script and dialogues are so brilliant. Each statement about human evolution contains a jewel in word playing- It is a pure Groucho Marx adaptation of Planet Earth. And Diane is just AMAZING. I don't even know how she does it to hold her face straight during some of the interviews... I had seen her in After Life and others and you notice right away how funny she can get. She deserves a price for this one and Cunk on Britain. It doesn't matter if they talk about dogs, discovering fire or cave paintings, there is always a brilliant sentence for each... A must see if you want to have some great laughs. So brilliant and funny.
