I refused to believe it. I just couldn't fathom the fact that Adult Swim would greenlight an episode where Pim actually turns green. Upon reading the news when reviewing upcoming episodes a few weeks ago, I threw my phone across the room in horror upon discovering this wretched plot. Surely, surely it was a joke, I told myself. All I could do was wait for the long-anticipated finale to season 2 of the world's most important show.
"Pim Finally Turns Green" transcends what we know as television. Never before has media so eloquently portrayed the nature of change and acceptance. I, like the characters in the show, couldn't fathom the thought of Pim turning green. However, my bitter antipathy towards Pims now-iconic green hue turned to unbridled joy upon my viewing of this episode.
I will include no spoilers for this masterclass of animation. I think everyone on the planet should see this, at least once, and together we can ALL become smiling friends.
