It would have single handedly killed the show.
Who did they cast as the lead role of this episode? Her acting is NAUSEATING.
Not once during the lead role is in hotel reverie she puts even a modicum of effort in acting. Almost every single scene is with the dumbest look on her face with her intentional wide eyes and a super awkward smile. Both the actual actress and the actress she's playing in the episode should've never had a career in filmmaking.
This episode is definitely it from me, I'm directly skipping to season finale and cut this show out of my life. After such a long break forcefeeding the audience this garbage is not just disrespectful, it's them showing they've passed the threshold and can profitably pander to anything and everything from here on with little to no writing, acting, or serious managing. - DirecciónCoralie FargeatElencoDemi MooreMargaret QualleyDennis QuaidEl terror corporal: La poderosa re-lectura feminista de FargeatAs far as "disturbing" or "body horror" goes, this is like a gore movie for people who've never seen a gore movie.
For the very upheld-for-no-reason-plot, they had a solid core premise that could've been portrayed much better in even a college film project, the whole psychology of body insecurity framed to juxtapose the good sides of what you look like now to bad sides of what you want to look like.
Also there's this attempt to highlight the objectifying of women, if anything this movie is more like a movie for people who objectify women. It's literally the movie Limitless except the magic drug doesn't make you smart but beautiful at some similar cost, at least Limitless had a creative ending.
I mean of course the men in the entertainment business value women for their smiles so a literal gollum-looking hunchback female gargoyle can glue a smile on her face and go up on the stage of the year. Like, of course I get the allegory, literally everyone gets it especially when you force feed it to them for 2.5 hours, but also congratulations I'm a mysogynist now.
Eyes rolling out the back of my skull. Vocal cords sore from groaning. Making a movie that demands 2 and a half hours of your life turning out to be this high-school level philosophy bull - should land you in jail. Definitely not worth its imdb rate and runtime. We see an unfledged batman for the first time, with lots of other different interpretations of the source, cool. He's called vengeance instead of batman, but vengeance for what I still have no idea. His dad's death doesnt really fit into vengeance as he's literally about brutally beating up people mugging others for 20 bucks instead of going for who are clearly the actual villains. Penguin, falcone, etc. He gets his hands on falcone finally, no thanks to him but catwoman, and fully knowing he controls the police force and that he will live like a king in prison while still sourcing for crime he's determined to take him there. I guess his determination for taking him to prison is what the batman does but fully knowing everything he didnt even actually care about the guy in the beginning.
His obsession with bats, dark places, his fighting style, never explained. So we see an unfledged batman but it's not an origin story either.
Enjoyable movie, but groan worthy. Their unfathomable obsession with matrix fashion-show, how once you tear through the spaceship (which was just a brick wall btw) the abyss is more like a lack of gravity than a deadly void sucking and devouring you once the ship is torn. We could've at least seen the bodies falling into space DO something but it was more like watching them fall underwater.
It's actually an extremely thought provoking movie. Aliens continuously fabricating memories in people for sole purpose of understanding them, in a seemingly normal even if rather noir city, which in itself a fabrication of a city far away in space, terrifying knowledge of having no idea who you really are, where you from.
That alone definitely serves this movie at least an 8 on IMDB, but it's just mulched in plot holes, aliens' puzzling love for the matrix fashion of clothing, movie's mishandling of the nature vs nurture conundrum and assigning the difference to simply "having soul" with no deservable build up to it. More appropriate question is if bella would rather be in the world. Definitely a venturous, likely fruit bearing experiment; inherently immoral, and just fitting for "God" to undertake the work.
She starts to go through from a child to a teenager phase; masturbation, incremental rebelry. Bella's parents were venturous and died in a landslide. They were "God"'s friends.
She commited suicide, he reanimated her by cutting out her infant and replacing her brain with theirs.
He lied about her parents. "Wpuld you rather the world did not have bella?"
