The film often feels like it's holding back, failing to immerse us in the disorienting terror Du Juan experiences fully. The killer's cat-and-mouse games, while conceptually intriguing, sometimes lack the sustained psychological impact needed to maintain suspense at a peak. I've seen a lot of these lone-survivor action movies and most of them blur together, but Vixen stood out a bit more. Mostly because of Liu Yang. She's not an ex-soldier or spy, just a regular woman stuck in a terrible situation, and watching her figure out how to survive felt fresh.

The pacing was decent - fast enough to stay exciting, but with enough quiet moments for some character stuff. I liked that it didn't rely too much on explosions or endless shootouts. The final showdown was satisfying without being ridiculous.

If I'm being picky, the villains were a bit cartoonish and the tech hacking scenes made no sense 😂. But hey, that's part of the fun in movies like this. I'd watch it again just for Liu Yang's performance. She made the whole film work.🎬
