I walked into this movie without any expectations-just needed to kill some time while waiting for a friend. But I'm so glad I did, because it ended up being an unexpectedly heartfelt and beautifully made film. The story gradually pulls you in, balancing emotional depth with moments of lightness. The lead performances were genuinely moving, and the chemistry between the characters felt natural and unforced. The direction and cinematography were thoughtful, enhancing the emotional weight of each scene without being overbearing. What started as a random choice became a meaningful experience. I left the theater with a smile and a few things to reflect on. Would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a film that quietly leaves an impact.
1915 is a powerful and emotional tribute to the bravery of the Gurkha soldiers, bringing to life the incredible story of Kulbir Thapa-the first Gurkha recipient of the Victoria Cross. The film tells his journey with heart and pride, honoring a part of history that deserves much more recognition. What makes this film even more special is that it was made possible through crowd funding, showing how deeply people connected with the story and wanted it told. It's inspiring to see Nepali cinema take on such an ambitious and meaningful project. The visuals, the performances, and the emotional weight all come together beautifully. This film is a proud moment for Nepali storytelling and is absolutely worth watching-for both its historical importance and emotional impact.
