*Just got done watching Kaliyugam, and I'm somewhere in the middle about it.*
On one hand, the concept is genuinely refreshing. It's not every day you see Indian cinema dive into dystopian themes with this kind of seriousness. The visuals were striking, and the entire atmosphere of the movie pulls you into its grim world. Shraddha Srinath absolutely stands out-her performance adds weight even in scenes where not much is happening.
But at the same time, the movie feels like it's constantly building up to something bigger... that never really arrives. The pacing struggles, especially in the first half. You keep waiting for that one moment to really hit you, and when it finally does, it feels a bit too late. Some characters just drift through the story without making any real impact.
It's a film that dares to be different, and for that, it deserves credit. But it leaves you wondering how much better it could've been with tighter writing and more emotional depth. Worth a watch if you're into experimental cinema, but manage your expectations.
