Agent SSA is a thoroughly entertaining and gripping movie with a neatly woven message. It has a strong story with a good dose of humour and suspense to keep you hooked for 2 and half hours without the routine formula of song, dance, fights and a romantic track. The story stays honest to its characters and keeps them real unlike most films where the hero literally fights his was out of situations. It's refreshing to watch a movie with clean comedy where comedy is not forces by slapping the comedian who is the hero's side kick. The movie is a breeze except for some 10-15 min in the second half. Great job by the cast and crew for pulling this off on a seemingly low budget which is noticeable in the visual quality and dubbing. The audience splits into laughter on multiple occasions and gives a nice applause at the end for weaving a good social message. Agent SSA is a must watch, go watch this with your family! It's a rarity to get movies that break the mould these days in Tollywood.
Getting to the plot, written by actor Siddharth Mahesh, the first half revolves around Ram (Siddharth Mahesh), who is running a restaurant in Goa along with Anu (Aindrita Ray) and Shankrana (Rangayana Raghu). He comes in contact with an undercover cop (Rajesh Nataranga), of the anti-terrorism squad, who along with his team is on the lookout for a criminal gang headed by Kalinga (Adi Lokesh). Through a flashback, we see how Ram pays a big price for his honesty, and then it follows the beat of a revenge drama with an explosive climax.
