Vibrant characters, intricate plots, and philosophical depth make this novel unforgettable. This movie is really good, with good actors and a very good director. The pictures and narrative are very good. Due to the length limit of the movie, some content was deleted, but overall the flaws do not outweigh the merits. I like director Tsui Hark and Xiao Zhan very much. I think even though it is a martial arts film, the righteousness of family and country is really well written.
