Isabelle Adjani is what attracted me to watch this, and the enigma didnt disappoint. As for the series, I've thankfully given up snobbishly pigeon-holing my tastes: so basically if I am hooked, good or bad, thats all that matters. I was hooked; like my funny bone I laugh at things I tell myself I shouldnt at my age. So what?! Laughing makes me happy, as do improbable escapism. However, the plot deserved another 3-6 episodes to flesh out the biographies of the main characters, with teasers throughout for the bombshell in the last scene of the final episode. Verdict: all in all, though, the binge-watch was worth it.
