This episode definitely lacks the Drag Race PH charisma. Feels so filtered and judging is off especially the comments. Hope it gets better next episode. The articulation of feedback needs to be better. At least from what we see on the screen. It seems like even the queens were confused because no proper substance are being given.
I just got home and I'm still so moved by what I just watched. Lasting Moments is such a beautiful and emotional film. The story was full of heart. It quietly pulled me in and left a deep impact. It made me reflect on love, memory, and the people we hold close. Some scenes broke my heart. Others made me smile. But all of them felt honest.
Nothing about the film felt fake or forced. Every moment had meaning. The pacing was just right. The silences were powerful. The emotions felt real. It's rare to see a movie that shows love and pain in such a simple but strong way.
Sue Ramirez was incredible. She was soft, strong, and completely believable. You could feel everything her character was going through, the dream, which is a very good representation of the Filipino culture, her pain and her joy. JM de Guzman gave a quiet and steady performance that carried so much depth. Together, their chemistry was subtle but powerful. It felt like watching real people, not characters.
The direction by Fifth Solomon was deeply thoughtful. You can tell this film came from someone who understands how to tell stories that matter. Every choice felt intentional. Even down to having a house fly on the scene. There was so much care in how the scenes were built, how emotions were shown, and how the story unfolded. It was clear, honest, and deeply moving.
Lasting Moments is something I would recommend to anyone. Watch it with your full attention. Let it speak to you. Let yourself feel it. It's not just a love story. It's a reminder of what really matters in life.
