It's almost laughable how bad the special effects are, and the acting is really almost amateurish and quite cartoonish.
It's also tonally inconsistent, with carachters (like Walker's partner) who are grounded and realistic in their actions and acting, and others (like pretty much ALL powers including the MC) who are EXTREMELY over the top in the acting.
Even Johnny, who's actually a good actor (well, I never saw him reach the level of Shine again, but he's definitely talented) feels like he's thinking "why am I here and what does the director want from me?".
The red woman, Diamond's ex, omg, what a poor acting, and the effects when she lands after flying, ffs, couldn't they make it look a bit more natural? I can totally visualize the wires.
It's very low budget and it just doesn't do it for me, I can't imagine that it's better than it is and still enjoy it.

It's not a horrible series but besides not liking the multi-FL (I kind of liked her as Sarah but the overdose of her in different sauces made me feel rejection) I find it difficult to enjoy it with all the inconsistencies and nonsense.
Also, the mix of tonally different aspects (comedy, action, drama) doesn't feel smooth and it distracts me from the story, it breaks the fourth wall.
