After last week's underwhelming filler episode, this episode returned the series back to engaging again. Everything in the alternate world is engaging from beginning to end and the action scene was intense and well-choreographed at a thrilling pace. Jennifer Holland does a superb job portraying the various emotional states of Harcourt showing she has range, David Denman did a good job at portraying a protective and loving older brother, and it was nice to see Judomaster back. However I still believe Vigilante is less funny this season and his jokes just don't land like they used to in Season 1. But overall a pretty solid fun episode that will leave you wanting more from the alternate world and where it all leads.

This movie is solid from start to finish. The best part about it is how well paced it is, hardly any time is spent on the surface before the climb begins apart from what is absolutely necessary for the story. Even though the plot twists in the movie are predictable they are not forced at all and are crucial to the teamwork dynamic between the two leads. Most importantly, the tension was palpable throughout each time they climbed. Grace Caroline Currey in particular provides a very convincing and believable performance as someone mortified with fear yet doing her absolute all to keep pulling through to the very end. Virginia Gardner also portrayed a flawed character convincingly, making the audience resent her and feel sympathy for her simultaneously. Although the film requires some suspension of disbelief (e.g. When too many nails on the tower loosen at once) but it isn't too severe to affect the film's enjoyability.

I was worried that the season could drop off in quality since the previous episodes felt too good to be true but I WAS SO WRONG. This episode was VERY well-written and both heartbreaking (in a good way) and compelling from start to finish and Michael C. Hall chews up all the scenery especially in his interactions with Batista showing Dexter's human side. Jack Alcott continues to be a welcome addition and Peter Dinklage as Leon Prater is proving to be an all time best antagonist. Definitely recommend.
