Weapons was a terrific horror film that delivered an unsettling, eerie atmosphere from start to finish. The story unfolds over the course of a few days, told through the perspectives of several main characters, all connected by a chilling event: on the same night at the same time, every child in Justine's (Julia Garner) classroom mysteriously vanishes-except for one. The film weaves tension and mystery together seamlessly, with a few well-placed surprises that kept me engaged until the very end.
I saw Relay early due to Screen Unseen.
Relay is an absolute standout - a gripping, high-stakes thriller that had me hooked from the opening scene to the final moments. The story follows Lilly, a determined protagonist caught in the crosshairs of a corrupt corporate scandal, as she navigates tense dealings with the enigmatic broker Riz. Every interaction crackles with tension, and the film masterfully delivers sharp twists and unexpected turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Smart, suspenseful, and refreshingly unpredictable, Relay is a must-watch.

I saw East of Wall at a "Screen Unseen" event at my local theater. I hadn't heard of it before and went in completely blind, which I usually enjoy-but in this case, it didn't quite work out.
I found the movie hard to follow, both in terms of plot and pacing. It seems to center on a woman with a difficult past who trains horses and tries to move forward with her life. While the film clearly aimed to be emotional and character-driven, the storytelling felt disjointed and lacked enough clarity to fully connect with the audience.
On the plus side, the visuals were striking-the South Dakota Badlands made for a beautiful and atmospheric backdrop. The acting was generally solid, though nothing particularly stood out.
Overall, East of Wall had potential, but its narrative struggles kept me from becoming fully invested.
