What a cheap copy of Criminal Justice (Season 4)! The Bengali entertainment industry cries about decreasing viewers interest. However, if they keep on delivering content of such inferior quality, who will dare to waste their time! I am sure, this season was not pre-planned. The team watched Criminal Justice's latest season and by far an excellent season. They also noted what is happening in Kolkata and in particular the extremly unfortunate R. G. Kar incident. I would have no problem, if they produced a researched, detailed, nuanced presentation of the events even borrowing something from the Hindi series on a totally different subject but sensative as well. No, neither they had the apetite to create something good and probably not the quality of the story telling. They just wanted to make a series and sail through the acting prowse of certain actors. Unfortunately and as expected delivered a bad product!
Unfortunately, this is the fact. The season 2 is just bad. Very very poor story telling (if indeed there is any story!). Even excellent performance by KK Menon also failed miserably to pull up anything. There is no option of a "0" or negative rating. Otherwise Season 2 deserves that. A piece of advise for the makers: Please dont take viewers for a ride.
If Crimal justice is the stand out series of this year, this one is simply the best of this jonour. Cant pick a role, an event or even a location that look un-realistic. No judgement, no conclusion just plain vanila representation of a very realistic story. This concept is also not tried (at least I am not aware of) in Hindi and the portrait has been just perfect. Thanks the entire team for creating such an impactful series. Cheers!
