Pip was smarter and did actual detective work in the book
but in the show she made questionable decisions and was handed all of her evidence
a few small things were changed that didnt really make sense to me like in the book Pips nickname is pickle but in the show its chicken which would be fine if it was only things like that were being changed but some big things were too.

an important person in book 2 wasn't in season 1, he's supposed to have this big redemption arc, book 1 you're supposed to hate him but in book 2 you find out his backstory and feel bad for him but I'm not sure it'll have as big of an impact with him not being there in s1
i've heard Holly is helping write s2 so hopefully its a bit more book accurate.
