Absolutely loved this show for the first two seasons, was such a fun comfort watch, perfect for autumn and also interesting and funny. Season 3 then was a bit off but I still enjoyed it. Season 4 was a trainwreck, it's likely they completely forgot the shows core and they turned it into something awful. Season 5 is back to its roots and I'm loving it! I only just started season 5 the other day because I thought I was done with it and now I'm caught up already. Hope there's a season 6.
Just when you thought prestige television couldn't get any better, along comes House of Guinness to pour a pint of perfectly crafted drama.
Beyond being just a fantastic show, House of Guinness feels like the crowning achievement in a remarkable moment for Irish television. Following the razor-sharp brilliance of Bad Sisters and other recent successes, there's an undeniable wave of world-class Irish storytelling happening, and the world is finally paying attention.
This isn't just about accents; it's about a specific flavour of storytelling. This authentic "Irishness" is compelling and universally resonant. I'm delighted to see our creators take their rightful place on the global stage, and House of Guinness is a must-watch chapter in this golden age. Long may it continue!

Finally, a movie that has given me a scare for the first time since the Ring. The audience was jumping out of their seats at this terrifically thought out movie. The setting was so creepy and the frights and scared were perfectly planned out.
I saw this movie at a film festival and it was definitely my favourite of the night. We were told after the showing that the name 'Oddity' comes from an anagram of all the characters names put together. Just one of the genius ideas of director Damien.
As well as the creative storyline and tidbits, the scenery was beautiful and the acting was outstanding. I loved the comedic relief and audience POV provided by Caroline Menton who plays Yana. She was a comfort throughout the movie which you rarely find in horror films and played her part exceptionally. And of course, the dual character portrayal played by Carolyn Bracken was just brilliant.
10/10 would see it again!
