Seemed like a cool concept for a movie and was hoping it was going to be good. Unfortunately it was slow, lame, uninteresting and had terrible acting. The directing and AI screen writing sucked as well, why not let a human do that? After a half hour the movie went nowhere and was not interesting. It had so much potential and Disney ruined it. The weird Sci-Fi RV part of it made it way too weird and not make sense. Meet the Millers was 10x better than this. I'm not sure why they couldn't pre-screen this movie before releasing it, a seven year old would've told them it was lame. Oh well, another 1 star movie next to Snow White.
Louis C. K. is funny, some of his jokes are pretty good, but the canned laughter is worse than a standup sitcom, who the hell laughs for 1 second and suddenly stops, especially in the hundreds. He goes into some deep topics and it gets worse as it goes along. I just wish the laughs were legit, I mean, who does NOT clap at a joke? No clapping, no authentic laugh sounds, no true audience feedback, you can tell during the entire time that someone is pressing a button to produce a laugh track. Maybe one day they'll figure out how to write a joke that's funny and get one audience member to truly laugh.
This movie has a lot going for it, lots of action, excitement, character development and more. The family was likeable and believable, the plot was interesting, but the journey and chemistry was the best part of the movie. I've watched this a few times now and wouldn't mind watching it again. Eric and Deborahbot 5000 have a cult following, they were hilarious to follow through the movie. It's great for kids and adults. Some of the weird videos could've been left out, but what movie doesn't have flaws.
