Anyone trashing this movie is over thinking it because they watch too much "FILM". Yes the movie is a bit long and there are a few scenes that could be scary for a young child. The theme and ultimate reason for the ghost being a ghost is pretty grim. So families be cautioned. I watched this on a Saturday night with my spouse and chuckled at a lot of it. My spouse loved the soundtrack. The cast is great, especially Jahi Di'Allo Winston, who is so sweet, empathetic and grounded. Jennifer Coolidge is only on screen for like 5 minutes, so don't watch it because you think she will add anything -- she does not. It's all about "Kevin" (Jahi) and "Ernest" (David Harbour).
What can be said? This movie is as disturbing now as it was when it was made. But the acting is so irregular. Sometimes it's comically bad which makes it extremely uncomfortable. The ending is also disappointing.
