An FBI agent who trained others to detect lies. His daughter, a model who lied for a living. And yet again, she lied, this time claiming her husband abused her. How do you verify such a claim? By trusting the liars.
I was genuinely disturbed by how convincingly she played the victim. Having known people like this in real life, those who lie so thoroughly they start to believe it themselves, this hit especially hard. It's a chilling reminder of how dangerous manipulation can be.
Surprisingly solid work from Netflix, especially given their recent track record with documentaries. And thank God it wasn't dragged out into three unnecessary episodes.

I really liked the movie, especially with Curb just ending. It felt like a nice follow-up. Had a few solid laugh-out-loud moments and overall just a fun time.
It basically feels like a good Curb episode. Not a great one, just good, but stretched into a full movie which kind of hurts it. The longer runtime makes it drag a bit.
There are some funny twists that feel very Curb, but the overall plot is pretty weak. Honestly, there are tons of Curb episodes with way more interesting stories than this.
It also felt way too safe. Curb was never afraid to push buttons or cross lines, but this felt toned down. Like a PG movie that randomly has some slurs in it.
Still, if you're a big Larry David fan like me, you'll probably enjoy it. Just don't go in expecting something amazing.
