By 1/3 way through this film, I've realized in such a clear revelation that Azis Ansari wrote and directed Good Fortune as an apology and mockery of the relationship between corporate liberals and regular everyday people. They say stand-up comedians are actually very smart and in tune with their audience. Ansari showed it very clear in his story telling and his first big screen directorial debut. Good Fortune showed the humanistic aspects of regardless of someone's fortune and life, they are still human being.
He understood the struggles of everyday regular Americans, possibly he had such life before he got famous.
Casting Keanu Reeves who has nomads life is brilliant, there's no need of intricate make ups and costume design, Keanu looks and lives like a homeless person for years. I had never seen Reeves was so much at home being in his character as this fallen angel Gabriel. His vocal tone was very casual and at ease. He was the perfect image of Gabriel.
The third main character is Hollywood mogul Jeff, played by a real mogul of film industry Seth Rogan. Like any Hollywood's mogul, Rogen played likable scumbag believably well. So well, that he gained sympathy fast with his down on luck twist of life.
Anshari wrote this thoughtfully, even adjusted Gabriel's personality once Reeves signed in. A skill no AI have.
Where's the apology?
First apology was Rogen's Jeff turned his company (an Uber-like service) from for profit to for collaboration with sharing profit with drivers.
Second apology was Gabriel was demoted into human to experience human's life, including addiction to cigarettes, alcohol, etc. Talk about people with power lost their power.
Third apology was admitting there are angels means there is God. Unfortunately, I think the part where a joke saying if there is God, there is Satan didn't survive editorial.
Anyway, Good Fortune showed there is hope for Hollywood when the creativity of the artists are less restricted by those who don't understand movie making.
Enjoy Hollywood's hidden apology.

A classic harem fantasy anime series, 1 man with too many women around him.
The good news is it's a classic rheme story, it follows a talented healer casted away by his group because of the unrealized skills he had.
The turn of events started, the healer became an underground and unlicensed healer for the regular people in a slum who otherwise would never get any attention by licensed government sanctioned healer.
Was he a bad guy or a good guy?
Here's the lesson communicated:
The biggest sign of evil is those on the side of evil always try to decide who deserve to live and who don't.
Despite the craziness of the women around our hero, he is a morally good person who only has 1 rule: he gets payment for his efforts. In today's term, it's a merit based appreciation system. Merit based appreciation is what incapable, liar and corrupt people in power hate the most because they don't truly earn their position of power. Hence the last episode of season 1 title.
Hidden beneath the harem story telling, this is a metaphor of reality. Kinda remind me of what's going on in America and Europe where ...... You can guess how it is a sarcastic biew on what's going on.

Here's the lesson communicated:
- when the system is corrupt and bad, only actions proof who is good and bad
- segregation is society is evil
- the healer became the hero of the people and he is a criminal to government due to the evil leaders

Short summary: cool action scenes, good villains, native Indian's culture lessons, and forgettable.
I don't know why. Either Joel Kinnaman is a very good actor or he is just too forgettable. He just appeared on screen then disappeared, then forgotten. It's weird, he has a superhero body, very enigmatic stare, but he kept himself melting to the surrounding of his films and disappeared. His 1 memorable acting job was Altered Carbon season 1. I don't remember he has any memorable scene in Suicide Squad, both films.
But dang, Danny Huston was a genius in playing memorable villain. He knows how to make his mark memorably.
Icefall is an okay film with good action scenes, good idea od storyline. Unfortunately, limited exploration of the story and possibly limited budget failed to make Icefall as a memorable film.
In conclusion, it's a waste of time and money.
