Terrible acting, terrible plot... unconvincing characters... If I wanted to watch a highschool rendition of The Twilight Zone, I can find better on youtube. This show gets worst by the episode.
Fake love, plastic faced gay fantasy, what the hell is the guy with the ruby trying to do? Every character in this crap town has some stupid love life that they need to share with the people in the diner, all while we get stared down by close up face shots of plastic surgery addicted big lipped aliens.

Girl might be cute, but can't carry the show, couple episodes in and you notice how laughably bad this thing is.
Even if fan service is something you are looking for in anime, this show is so terribly put together that its hard to get through. The action is not good at all.
Episode 1 and 2: One-half dimensional villains attack the kingdom, girl agonizes over kissing some dude to awaken a spell (whilst people are dying) then summons the guy (after monsters kill like everyone). Awakened Main Character (MC) talks about how he hates the world and how he won't help, then helps. Some creepy stuff between main girl and him, then she kisses him away again.
Usually, an entire kingdom in the anime world has a bunch of heavy hitting fantasy heros. Here, some old priest controls a wizard through his virgin daughter, like... bruh.
The art for the MC is terrible, what kind of steroid induced comatose makeup dream did the artist have when coming up with that?
This show reminds me of late 90s Manga that can't decide if its porn or not, then they clean it up by scrubbing all the things the porn audience wants, and your left with like a quarter of a story.

Stumbled upon this gem after binging a bunch of anime. It is unshamefully dirty and humorous as the characters take the battle for morality all too seriously. :D.
This movie should have played to its strengths, it could have started with when they entered the future and just continued to the action. The sloppy attempt to make a half baked story just wastes the audience's time. Besides the terrible plot, the action for action's sake is like a 6/10. Terrible movie all around, not worth 2 hours.
This movie can't decide between mindless action and trying to tell a story, so it fails at both. People that compare this to the best of action movies need to take a closer look. The humor falls short and is very repetitive. The narration is terrible, and the guy talks likes he has relived the same day thousands of times, we pick up at only 140. If the guy missed the truck 22 times, how many times did he die elsewhere? Well a dozen times in this second and that and... FFS show and don't tell. If you are going to tell, you better back it up and follow your own continuity.
At this point you are probably wondering, "so what, probably some good action right?" Unfortunately its pretty mediocre. Most 'action' scenes are close up shots of people staring at each other before a sudden movement and someone dies, or an explosion with some half assed CGI that is outdone by movies from the early 2000s.
If you are wondering "WHY IS THIS SO UNDERRATED?!?!?" Its because the quality is lower than you think, and artificially inflating its rating by giving it a 10 won't make it any better.

Whole episode was weird, but moments like this are really stupid:
The Command Training Program's Half Marathon has a winner! 4 runners, all come in within a second of one another. A half marathon is 13.1 miles. Do you know how long of a gap there should be between people? Many, many minutes, and that is if they are all competitive runners, which these space officers are not. How big is this starship? I know its big, but you are telling me there is a single deck with enough room to have people run through its corridors without disrupting operation/other traffic?
Guess I shouldn't be too surprised seeing as this comes from the same show that has a spacebug (Saru) able to run 80 kmh, which is almost exactly 50 miles per hour, then takes about 10 minutes to reach Burnham when she can see him on the ridge.
But come on guys, next you are going to tell me there is an alternate universe with the same people in the same positions, but every attribute of life is different? Oh wait I watched season 1.
I still enjoy watching Star Trek, new and old series, quality has always been an issue, since the original series However, just the smallest amount of effort could clear scenes out that are not only unimportant to the plot, but make either no, or even contradictory, sense to the rest of the show.

If you like the show, you'll like the movie too. A short arc to be expected of an anime-movie but its the same Fairy Tail.
Pretty good animation on the fight scenes and throughout the movie, nice clean transitions and ambiance.

I like drama, and I like horror. Unfortunately, this show has the worst of both, some jump scares every 15 min, put together by some uninteresting family drama just doesn't do it for me. It just came off slow, and I never really got scared.
Chronologically after the anime season 1, this movie is very consistent with the Novels' story with minor changes to make it smoother on-screen. There is a large recap at the beginning (20 minutes or so), which might confuse those that saw the same scenes in the anime, but will catch you back up if you forgot some things. Soundtrack is pretty neutral and shouldn't turn anybody off.
If you like the movie or the anime (Which are GREAT!), I would suggest the Novels/Manga. The slower pace of reading gives you the opportunity to catch minute details of character development to partner with the goblin slaughter!
