As the lead voice of Princess Tiana in Disney's animated feature La Princesse et la Grenouille (2009), Rose became the very first black Disney Princess.

Had to wear six inch heels while filming the title musical number in Dreamgirls (2006) as to appear in frame with co-stars Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson.

Received her Bachelor's degree in Theatre from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida.

Her Dreamgirls (2006) character, Lorrell Robinson, is supposed to be the youngest of the trio. However, Anika in reality is actually older than both Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson.
