- Beefy, square-jawed American character actor, usually cast as rustic types or dumb heavies. Also a regular feature in Three Stooges shorts. Sully started his career as a comedian in vaudeville and appeared on Broadway from the late 1920s.
- During the mid-sixties, Frank and his wife Kathleen, along with a dance instructor named Judy, offered private television and theater performing arts instruction for children, in Garden Grove, CA. Instruction included lessons in acting (taught primarily by Kathleen) and dance (tap and modern jazz, taught primarily by Judy, with some fun assistance from Frank). Exceptional students earned Frank's personal attention and-rarely-the opportunity for a Hollywood screen test.
