Biographie

In each of her first two Broadway appearances, she played the love interest of characters played by Brent Spiner. The first was in a musical (1776) and the second was in a non-musical play (Life x 3).

She has been nominated for Broadway Tony awards three separate times in 10 years, for both straight plays and musicals (Life x 3, Death of a Salesman, and Cabaret).

For her work in Chicago, she was nominated 5 times for Joseph Jefferson Awards, winning it twice for her work in "Pygmalion" and "The Winter's Tale".

She was nominated for a 1987 Joseph Jefferson Award for Actress in a Supporting Role in a Play for "Tartuffe" at the Court Theatre in Chicago, Illinois.

Her father was of half French-Canadian and half Polish descent. Her mother has German and English ancestry, with Colonial American roots.
