Graduated from the University of Southern California's Scoring for Motion Pictures and Television program. - Won a 2007 Silver Telly Award for his score to the feature documentary Return to Vietnam at the 28th Annual Telly Awards.
- The trombone is his main instrument of study and has composed several pieces for chamber brass ensemble.
- He has scored 3 film adaptations of Ray Bradbury short stories. Bradbury, who was involved in the production, complimented the score to Chrysalis (2008).
- His score for The Table (2011) was nominated for the Gold Medal in Excellence (Best Impact of Music in a Documentary) at the Park City Film Music Festival.
- The score for the Earbud Theater episode "The Current" was an Audio Verse Award finalist in the Best Original Composition for a Dramatic Production category. The cue "The Sinking of the Warlock" from the same episode was a Best Original Composition for a Self-Contained Production finalist in 2018.
