Wendy Williams was inducted into the Radio Hall of Fame (2009).

In the South African Zulu language, "How you doin'?" is "Gunjani?", to which the response is "Encona". Wendy discovered this after speaking to a South African caller to the show named Benny. She plays the recording of the conversation almost daily.

Wendy coined the phrase "How you doin'?", to which the response is "Awwwlllriiight?".

Williams announced on a February 2018 episode of her eponymous talk show that she was recently diagnosed with Graves', an autoimmune disease that affects the thyroid, in addition to thyroid issues of which she was previously aware.

He was awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Television at 6533 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California on October 17, 2019.

On July 8, 2019, she has been diagnosed with lymphoedema.

On April 11, 2019, she had filed for divorce from her husband of 21 years Kevin Hunter.
