Francesca was born in Hammersmith, London and is of Italian origin. Some of the Italian descendants moved to London in 1890s while the others moved to the Bronx New York. Her great grandfather, Luigi De Luca was a well known artist model and posed for, amongst others, Holman Hunt's famous painting "The Light Of The World" which is hanging in St Paul's Cathedral in London.
