Katharine Driver
Katharine Driver (born in Louisville, Kentucky) graduated from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana with a degree in Theater and Drama, and minors in Psychology and Dance and Movement. In addition to studying acting, film, dance, voice, and literature she is an avid photographer, and has an associates degree in Photography from The Antonelli Institute of Art and Photography in Pennsylvania. She has been teaching voice lessons and piano lessons for over ten years now, has done freelance photography for The Opera Company of Philadelphia from 2001-2012, has been photographing bands, and doing head shots, and her own creative art and nature photography, and has authored the book Philadelphia Haunts. She co-founded the paranormal research group CCPRS (Chester County Paranormal Research Society) in 2006 with her ex husband Mark Sarro.
She is now divorced and is living in Indiana in a gorgeous house that used to be a mill. The house is situated in a fairy tale like setting right along the banks of a river. It is a truly mesmerizing location with a fascinating history.
Kat, Kate, Katie, and even Kitty Kat, and Kath, as some of her friends call her, has actually acted onstage as a supernumerary since the age of 4. Katharine's father is renowned artistic opera director Robert Driver. He affectionately calls her Katharina and Bella, which are his nicknames for her. Although he was extremely hesitant to put her onstage, he did so anyway, and soon other directors were requesting her to be a super for them too! Katharine was thrilled to be an extra in "12 Monkeys" when they were filming in Philadelphia, and has been an extra in "Rocky" and in a music video for Local H. She has always been happy to act and help out in her friends film shorts and projects which range from being total slapstick goofiness that include stuffed animal theater to a paranormal/sci-fi serious drama called The Guest. Her friends projects were simply done for fun and proved to be creative, fun, and excellent learning experiences.
She still continues to work with voice and piano students, loves working on writing her own music which has a gothic hippie vibe to it, and she has a few more books in the works at the moment.
