Changed my mind

This documentary show us why we shouldn't use wild animals for circus!! I saw the documentary with tears in my eyes.

Great idea, bad execution

The documentary's point is very simples and what you'd expect: the way animals are treated in circuses is bad and they should not be used in circuses, they should be left in the wild, where they're happy. Good idea. But the way the directors tried to makes us feel empathy with Tyrone, Tyke's trainer is absolutely disgusting. They're censuring animal abuse while trying to force compassion with the exact man who abused them. If the target audience is the unthinking overly-sensitive who fall in love by someone as long as some cheap emotional music is cued in, no matter what words come out of their mouths, they did a great job.

Herself - Elephant handler: When they take their trunk and blow against your face and they wrap their trunk around you, it's fabulous - wonderful. But those days are gone. If I could have worked elephants without all the brutality, that would have been fabulous, absolutely fabulous. And when I look back, like I said, I'm sure there's a special place in hell for me for what I did to the elephants, because that was what I was told I had to do to stay alive and to keep those elephants in line. But now I know that was all nonsense.
