Episode 3 and the twists still coming. Are any of the recruits actually genuine recruits?

Alex's mother is brought in for questioning by the FBI, distraught and confused she tells them that Alex had disappeared for a year when she was in India.

Alex seeks out Simon for help who we learn got kicked out from the training some time earlier. No surprise given that he seemed to be someone he clearly was not. They discover that Alex set up from the very beginning of her training in Quantico but Simon is also secretly working for Director Clayton.

In the flashbacks to the training Alex learns from Liam that her father was a special agent and the recruits complete psychological profiles of each other which leads to chaos.

You just hope that the series does not tie itself in knots, it is gripping but also getting to be implausible in places.
