Live or Let Die

Although this is a short film, then it is quite apparent that it was made for zombie lovers by zombie lovers. It had all the right elements; desolation, isolation, dread and well, of course, zombies.

Where many zombie projects fail and die are on lousy make-up on the zombies. I will say that the zombie make-up in "Live or Let Die" was quite good. It was clear that the effects crew knew what zombie aficionados want to see in a zombie movie. And they also nailed the special effects, and here I mean gore, right on the spot too.

The story was simple, and you quickly was thrown into the storyline and knew what was going on. But while the characters were lacking background, history and any real personalities, the story more than made up for that shortcoming.

The acting was good, and you shouldn't get deterred by the German language.

Two things, though, that I didn't like was the fact that they used Woodbury for a location. That was uncalled for and rather stupid, in my opinion. The second thing was the ending. Only one word to say about the ending; seriously?

All in all an entertaining zombie short film.
