Summer Issues

Going into this I honestly didn't expect too much as I don't typically watch indies, however this one caught my eye while scrolling through prime video and I decided why not give it a go. I'm very glad I did because this film did not disappoint, immediately you could tell this was a passion project for everyone involved, the production was great, all of the cast filled their roles amazingly and the fun/cheesy coming of age style kept me locked in from start to finish. Hoping to see more features from this group, highly recommend.

The humour of Clerks meets the drama of Good Will Hunting, not only will you laugh but you'll feel all those old summer romance butterflies and learn about anxiety and the struggles of adolescence. A gem and the exciting feature debut of talented budding writer/Producer Adam Masnyk.

Decent indie with major Clerks vibes, even has a whole hockey subplot. Now, I might be biased being a comic book nerd from RI but the one thing I couldn't get past was a comic book shop in Worcester being able to have 8 employees on at once. Watch and count in the first sequence, 8! It's just not possible. The writing is pretty good, the characters feel like people I grew up with for sure.

Definitely gets an extra star for being SUPER Massachusetts, I always appreciate a decent portrayal of MA/RI.

I'm not sure how this showed up in my Prime Video, but I put it on the watchlist because I saw the trailer and it looked humble and possibly my cup of tea. I've seen quite a few indies on Prime that were very low budget, but I enjoyed them and appreciated them.

I'm not into Clerks or any of that stuff, but I'm all for being lost and not knowing what you want to do with your life.

Story is very straightforward, acting is a bit of a mixed bag, didn't really laugh, but somehow it still kept my attention. I wouldn't necessarily watch it again, but I commend the cast and crew for making a competent film that I can tell was a labour of love. I'm looking forward to more from them in the future. Everybody has to start somewhere and this was a very watchable start.

I wish I could've seen more of Eddie and Sean, those scenes between them felt like an argument for a bigger storyline.

I love it before playing Hockey u had a serious talk which hit me but then the famous words "lets play some Hockey" keep up the good work ur only going to go up and up much love my boston brother.
