Never liked Dean Caine myself, his acting is not much better and every time I see his name or Casper Van Has Been I know pretty much the movie is going to be of tv movie on a wet Sunday afternoon for bored housewives variety but this was considerably worse - what were they thinking???
The positives - the castle used was pretty amazing and there are some nice bits of photography, it used another old idea with nothing new and was actually quite funny if you take it as a comedy!
Le saviez-vous
- AnecdotesWhen Producer, Dan Campbell and Director, Jude S. Walko, first scouted the La Tavern (Irish Pub) in Nevers, France, they were offered a local beer. The bartender serendipitously served them a Bellerose Beer, which is coincidentally the last name of the Main Character of the story, Lucy Bellerose. This led to an eventual product placement deal with said beer company, and to Walko adding the scene where Lucy discovers the exact same beer in the exact same bar, uncannily bearing her name.

Lieutenant Dan: [to the Bartender] One beer, please.
Lucy Bellerose: Thank God! An American.
[Lt. Dan brushes her off]
Lieutenant Dan: Hey, I'm just here for the Battle of Belleau Wood Memorial. Rumor has it there's a Devil Dog fountain of youth.
[swigs back his beer]
Lucy Bellerose: Uh, excuse me, Sir.
[she musters the courage]
Lucy Bellerose: Can I ask you...
Lieutenant Dan: [cutting her off mid-sentence] ... Sorry, Miss America. Semper Fi!
[He slaps the beer money on the counter and walks off]
