Ass Hunting in Venice

Gazzman is the sort of director who resents off time, so he fills in between more significant assignments with crap like "Ass Hunting in Venice". For a more rewarding trip to the land of gondolas, see his feature with the same male cast: "Young Harlots: Italian Job".

He uses a gimmick that is frankly insulting, also trotted out in his equally stupid feature "Fuck Me in My Jeans". It's a fake "man on the street interview" concept that went out with the 1950s, whereby horny creeps like Marco Banderas pester young women to lure them indoors and hump them. This would be patently illegal, even under the guise of secretly shooting a porno film, but the authorities have other fish to fry.

In "Jeans" they went after femmes wearing jeans, clearly ubiquitous. In this one they hand unsuspecting girls Venetian masks to try on, saying they want to photograph them wearing them back in the studio. Real-life women are blanked out with a blur on screen (no release signed), while the ringers that say yes to this dumb request are professional porn actresses pretending to be newbies.

Chief ringer is Valentina Nappi, an actress who has rapidly moved up to the first rank in recent years but ia still early in her career here. Emy Russo, a fixture in Marc Dorcel's porno universe, is also appealing, but the format and content leave them all a bit bewildered as to what the point of it all is. Basically sex for sex sake, generic porn with a few seconds of scenic Venetian location shots thrown in.
